Mike Altmann

Owner / Camp Administrator

Mike Altmann holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a masters degree in Instruction and Curriculum from Kean University. He has worked in New York as an assistant casting director for Disney Television on shows such as "Ellen" and "Boy Meets World." Today, Mike works as a Drama and Publc Speaking teacher at Edison Intermediate School in the Westfield School System. In addition, Mike also teaches as a professor of communication at Kean University. Mike has taught drama in both the Montclair and Dunellen school systems as well. 

His directing accomplishments include numerous intermediate and high school productions such as Guys and Dolls, Grease, and The Sound of Music to name a few. In addition to musicals, he has directed many well received shows, such as It's a Wonderful Life, Once Upon a Mattress, and Bridge To Terabithia for Edison Intermediate.

Mike founded OnStage Theater Camp and served as a show director for years. He has since moved into more of an overall Administrator role. This new role allows him to put his mark on each show by being able to spend equal time with all of the groups and campers. Mike’s philosophy and personality makes up the backbone of this camp and he is more than excited for OnStage’s upcoming summer session.
